Karen joined the Arkansas Counseling Associates team in June of 2009. She is a Regional Manager and is based out of the White Hall office. Karen received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Sports Science and Biology from McMurry University in Abilene, Tx, a degree in Secondary Education from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Education degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Rehabilitative Counseling from the University of Texas at Austin. She completed postgraduate work in forensic psychology at the University of Texas and is interested in incorporating trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy and play therapy into her work with children and trauma. Karen volunteers at the Child Advocacy Center and serves as a core team member for the Jefferson County Multidisciplinary Team on child abuse. She also enjoys spending time outdoors with her two children and golfing with husband Jeff of 9 years.

Kevin has been with Arkansas Counseling Associates since May of 2011 and supervises the Central Arkansas locations and is based out of the Searcy office. He has been involved in the mental health field for 14 years and has served in many capacities. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southwestern University in counseling psychology, a Master’s Degree from Regent University in Organizational Leadership, a Doctorate of Psychology from the Graduate Theological Foundation and a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Kevin has been married to Robbye for 12 years and they have one beautiful 6 year old daughter.

Shawna is the Northwest Arkansas Regional Manager and is based out of the Harrison office. She has been working for Arkansas Counseling Associates since she became a licensed counselor in March of 2005. When she was hired to work for Arkansas Counseling Associates, she was also teaching high school Special Education at Alpena High School, where the pilot Jumpstart Program of the Harrison area started in the fall of 2005. There are now 12 schools in the surrounding Harrison area with Jumpstart Programs. Shawna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Arkansas Tech University and a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Shawna is married to Billy Jack and has a wonderful little girl. They are expecting a new baby in December 2012.

Eric has been with Arkansas Counseling Associates since 2004. He is the Assistant Clinical Director and aids the MHPs and MHPPs around the state at all of our offices with trainings, questions, and a variety of roles. Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Counseling Psychology and a Master’s Degree from the University of Central Arkansas in Community Counseling. Eric currently holds the license of Licensed Professional Counselor.

Scott is the Clinical Director and has been a licensed professional for more than a decade. Scott travels all over the state of Arkansas helping staff and doing wonderful trainings. He is married to Lisa Foster and has three beautiful daughters. In his spare time he enjoys traveling and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball. He has been employed with ACA since its inception.

Kim has been with Arkansas Counseling Associates since October of 2011. She is the Regional Manager for the Southern area and is based out of the Dumas office. Kim has been in the mental health and research fields for over 10 years. She has experience in child, adolescent and adult therapy and assessments. Kim has also worked with diagnostics and research for patients with different types of dementia. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of North
Dakota, a Masters of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology and a Doctorate of Psychology from Midwestern University.

Justin has been with Arkansas Counseling Associates since January of 2010 and is the Regional Manager for the Northern offices and he is based out of the Jonesboro office. Justin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Williams Baptist College where he is a former coach. Justin came to ACA after several years in school administration at various levels. Justin has been married to his beautiful wife Melanie for 13 years and has 3 wonderful children.
